This week not a ton of new stuff

Well heres a picture of me anziano miller and anziano simcox in front of duomo. Anziano miller trained him too, so hes my brother in the mission. Nice!
Well this week is going and going and going! Were halfway through the transfer, and things are much different than they were last transfer. We have been doing a lot of member work this week and trying to organize an activity! We want to have a culture night where all the members bring a dish from their native country, or part of italy if they are italian, and explain why they love it. We based this activity off of the elder Uchtdorf talk "four titles" Were hoping that through the members being able to share their culture with eachother it will help them build stronger friendships. We really want our ward to have a solid bond when we leave! Our goal is for the members to start working together and thereby have missionary experiences! We are trying to get everyone to see the Work of Savlation broadcast. Missionary work is changing, and we want the members to be on board so they arent super confused with all this new stuff.

Adventure this week. Well, this week Anziano Miller and I ate Balut. What is balut? Well you see, balut is a hardboiled egg. Except its not. How is it different? Well this egg is a duck egg. A fertilized one. So its a baby duck, beak, feathers, placenta. All that good stuff. How does it taste? Actually not that bad. However because you know what it is. Its kinda like this.

Yummm.

This week weve found a lot of success through teaching english to italians! everyone seems interested to learn, they even have interest in the spiritual thought! Weve recently found 2 new investigators through english class! AWESOME! We are also helping the members and their children learn who want to. It really helps us build our relationships with them and allows us to render some service to them.

Well, we dont really have a lot of time this week, Ive gotta get going! I love you all!  Try to eat something grosser than balut this week and let me know how it goes! I need a nap. Am I going to get one? Nope. Thats my thought process right now.

ciao ciao

Welcome to Switzerland

Fake last supper. you cant take pictures of the real one. Real one is about 100 yards away

This is a fuzzy picture of Cristoval (Val) . He is a member of milano uno and KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT FASHION hes actually a pretty well known fashion blogger. Hes a total boss and he will probably see this picture haha.

Welcome to Switzerland!

ALRIGHT. So this past week we went on a 1 hr 15 minute train ride, followed by a 30 minute walk. in search of dr pepper. AND WE FOUND IT. HECK YEAH. We had to go to Switzerland, but hey, its an excuse to go up there. And may I tell you, Switzerland is BEAUTIFUL.

Welcome to Chiasso

I was Lucky enough to get to do a Scambio in Como and teach a lesson here on monday! I can now say that I officially have done missionary work in 2 countries!
Another fun thing we did this week was we were invited to see the Last supper with some members of our ward. Unfortunately we werent allowed to take pictures, but youll have to take my word that it was freaking awesome.

This past week was crazy. we were able to teach 18 lessons!! Well for a lot of you that might not seem like a lot, but for us thats crazy! We are working so hard and were seeing the fruits of our labors!
One thing that Ive been trying to work on this week is being more humble. A friend told me that we must learn to love to repent, and to seek for something to improve each day. We all grow piano piano and there is always another step to take. Ive decided to write a list of all the things im gratefull for this week. Hopefully its a long list.... you never know.
OH I SAW ANZIANO LEUNING!! THAT CANADIAN BOY HAS MADE IT HERE!!! He told me where he was serving yesterday... but uh, I forgot. OH WELL I SAW HIM SO IT COUNTS.

In other news, its starting to get cold here. And i only brought one light sweater.... If i dont get to go shopping soon im in big doo doo. GOOD THING WE WONT HAVE TIME TODAY BECAUSE I NEED TO GO GET MY PERMESSO SO IM LEGAL. Oh well. At least ive got documents now. Ill just be frozen. Im still looking for the elder from Cypress, Ive heard about him and hes heard about me, but we have yet to meet. I think hes on the other side of the mission.
Happy birthday Joe and Tia!! And if i did the math wrong val!! Things are going crazy in the family! Miss you all and ill talk to you soon!
Vi voglio bene!

Howdy

Alright, so first things first. THE COUSINS DROVE IN FROM TORINO AND CAME TO CHURCH!! I was so happy to see them! It has been way too long!
We were able to spend the afternoon together and It was seriously so great! I hadn't been able to see Vittorio for 7 or so years except via skype. we had a great time, I look forward to being able to see them again soon!

Last p-day was fairly eventful, we went and visited the "Bone church" which is pretty cool/gross. So there was a school/church, I dont remember, in italy where the roof caved in and a lot of children died. Very sad story. So of course, naturally, in remembrance of them, the church decided to build a room out of their bones. CREEPY. You walk into this place and you just feel wierd. Anyway. After that we went to the Museum right next to Duomo! Right now they have a lot of Andy Worhol prints on display, I loved that! We also got to see some Picaso and other famous paintings! We had a really good time. This week we are going to Switzerland in search of scenery and Dr. Pepper. It shoud be a fun ride, its only about and Hour by train.

Anziano Luening made it to Italy!!! I havent seen him, but I heard he finally got his visa and is in the field! Exciting! We have a Baptisimal date for the 28th and we are sure Allejandro Is ready! We are doing all we can to get him integrated with the ward! Work here is going well!! Weve been recieving referrals and trying to work as hard as we can! We have seen the blessings of our efforts as well!
Yesterday I bought a whole coconut because, you know, I wanted to eat a coconut. But problem was, we couldnt open it. So naturally, we knew one way to get it open. THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW! so we did. And then we ate coconut. Thats my random story for the day! Thanks for all the emails and kind thoughts! Talk to yall soon!

DO NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT THE BYU UT GAME. I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT. SERIOUSLY. WHAT THE HECK. ;LKJAOSDJIFOISDJOFI WORST DAY EVER.
Anyway, love you all miss ya! talk to you soon!

Oops well thats sideways. Youll get over it. The sisters taught her but My companion was able to baptise her and I was lucky enough to be able to confirm her! AWESOMEEEEEEEEEE.

Also, thank you everyone for the birthday wishes, I am officially old. We will all go to vegas on my return. Moms treat. For my birthday, I did missionary work. Nice. nah but really its great :) We get to see some of the strangest things ever. Also some of the most beautiful! The transfer just ended and I am lucky enough to get to stay in Milano for the next 6 weeks! Anziano Miller is staying as well! He is great! He got me A Juventus Jersey (Pirlo) for those who care. He is awesome!  The sisters got me a little nerf gun that I must say entertains me much too easily. Sorella Santoro Finishes the mission tomorrow, she will be missed. She has worked so hard and has done her best! She returns to Bari soon!

Its crazy to think that ive already been gone for 3 months, time is really flying by! Weve been meeting with a bunch of our Philippino friends and have been having some good discussions with them! We also have an investigator named Alejandro who will be getting baptized in a few weeks!

Everyone is back from vacation, we should be able to start having a bunch more appointments! Were teaching a few Italians English! Thanks for all the updates on your lives! Keep em coming!

Until next week
